Some are theorizing the individual in question could be Zant, one of the main antagonists in Twilight Princess, especially since the reverse synth music in the trailer resembles his original boss music. Given that the symbols seen in the energy also closely resemble the glyphs the Twili use, it's possible the energy is directly cast by someone from the Twilight Realm. Twili are specifically the only beings known to have the ability to use this kind of magic. The beam of blue-green energy that if seen throughout the trailer has really only been seen in Twilight Princess, as the energy stems straight from the Twilight Realm. The trailer also hints at the return of the Twili, a race of beings which inhabit the Twilight Realm. The Twilight Realm Might Return In Breath of the Wild 2 Combining these details together makes the connections with Twilight Princess feel quite concrete. The wound is located in the exact same place that Link impaled Twilight Princess' Ganon at the finale of the game.

The trailer also depicts a large gash over the mummy's chest from which Malice cascades from.

Furthermore, the headpiece the body is wearing is nearly identical to that which Ganon is seen with in Twilight Princess, with the most notable feature being the large yellow gem in the center. Given that Ganon has taken on a Gerudo form in Twilight Princess, it can confidently be determined that at the very least, the mummy is Ganon. The unknown body is wearing Gerudo style clothing, which is critical to Ganondorf's history, as he is known for being the only male Gerudo to be born to the tribe in 100 years.
